CENFEST – the annual Interschool Academic Festival, organized by Centre Point School, Katol Road, was held from 24th to 31st Aug’16. This week long festival on Science, Mathematics and Social Science, witnessed fierce competition among various participating schools. On 24th August, the preliminary round of Quiz (for classes VIII & IX) was held in Science, Mathematics and Social Studies. Four teams were chosen from each group for the finals later.
The Science Quiz conducted by Mr. Vilas Chaudhary, Project Director, Raman Science Centre, was won by Centre Point School, Dabha team and Centre Point School, W’Nagar was the runners-up.
The Maths Quiz was conducted by Mrs. Reena Marwa. It was won by BVM Civil Lines with DPS as the runners-up. The Social Science Quiz was conducted by two excellent quizzers Anirudh Morarka and Raunak Patni who are also ex-students of the school. The winners in this competition were BVM Civil Lines (1st Prize) and DPS (2nd Prize).
In Maths Model Making the 1st prize was won by CPS, Dabha and the 2nd prize was jointly shared by Jain International School and CPS, W’Nagar and CPS Katol Road.
On 29th Aug’16, the Social Science Quiz and e-presentation cum Talk was held. BVM Civil Lines and CPS, Dabha were adjudged 1st and 2nd resp.
On 31st Aug. in the concluding programme of the CENFEST, the Science Quiz and Talk were held.In this event, CPS, W’Nagar represented by Archit Venugopalan was adjudged the winner while Snigdha Chaudhury from BVM Civil Lines was declared Runner Up.
The Science Quiz Trophy was lifted by the CPS Dabha team. The Overall Trophy in Science based on cumulative points earned, was given away to Centre Point School, Katol Road
